Stone Museum
The Stone Museum is established in a small town between Salantai and Skuodas. Many interesting stones are exhibited in very unique building – water mill. Outside the museum large natural boulders are placed in the beautiful valley of the Bartuva River. Although the place-name of Mosedis is not directly related to the word ‘stone’, nowadays these words can be used as synonyms and are equal.
The museum was created by a young physician Vaclovas Intas, who came to Mosedis in 1957 to work in a newly established hospital. Thus, it is his “fault” that Mosedis without stones would not far less impressive.
