Devil's Museum
This is the only Devils' Museum in the world, famous for its collection of 3000 sculptures and carvings of devils. The collection was begun to be gathered in 1906, and the first devil was received as a gift from the writer J. Tumas-Vaižgantas. The Devils' Museum consists of two buildings: the painter A. Žmuizdinavičius Museum and the Devils' Museum.
According to the will of the painter, his house was given as a present to the state in 1961 and five years later a memorial was established there. In addition to the works of the painter and his contemporaries, there was an exhibition of 260 devil sculptures. When the collection increased, it was moved to a separate building.
The main visitors of the museum are tourists from Poland, Check Republic, Russia and schoolchildren.
