Bilberry Dumplings

Dumplings are prepared with a mixture of bilberries; this dish is served with a sour cream. Dumplings are called saltanosiai because of their blue colour. Bilberries colour permeates out of the dumplings inside and they remind a frostbitten nose.

Preparation
Mix flour with some warm milk. Separate eggs whites from yellows and mix them until stiff scum. Eggs yellows mix with some butter, sugar and salt. Put everything into one bowl and stir carefully. When dough is prepared, put a teaspoon of berries on the dough, spaced evenly, fold dough over and press with round cookie cutter or use a medium size glass to cut the dumplings. Press the dumplings sides together so that the berries do not leak out.
