Baisogala Estate

The Baisogala estate palace is one of the most renowned monuments in Lithuania. Its grandeur and beauty enchants the visitors. The building of the estate began in the middle of the XVIII century, and ended at the beginning of the XX century. The estate was built by the landlords Komarai who lived here.

Till these days 19 elements remain forming the estate. The most interesting is the central estate palace, the stable, the coach-house, the kitchen and the storehouse. These buildings compose the ensemble of the estate palace.

People are attracted to the windmill of the estate, also it is pleasant to stroll around in its the park. The park extends in the area of 12 hectares and is one of the most beautiful in Lithuania. The undulating alleys and narrow paths of the park are surrounded by various trees. On each side of the main alley of the park there is a pond. In the heart of the park you can find another pond with an island. In this pond you can see swans very often.

The lawns of the park are decorated with various trees. In addition to maples, birches, limes, ashes and spruce, you can see more exotic unusual varieties of trees here, such as blue spruce, swiss pine, european larch, thuja, silver maple and chinese larch.
